ABOUT US

Laundromat is a restaurant in the heart of Reykjavík where the day starts with a hearty breakfast, great coffee and a mimosa and ends with burgers and beer. We serve breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner every day, and happy hour is from 4pm to 6pm.

The story began in Copenhagen in 2004. The idea was simple but unusual, a café and laundromat under the same roof, a place where people could sit down with a book, have a good meal and do their laundry along the way. In 2011, Laundromat came to Reykjavík and took root on Austurstræti, and since then the place has been one of the main points in the city center.

Dinner, happy hour and family time in one place

Everyone is welcome here, whether it's groups of friends, couples, work colleagues or families. In the evenings, friends and groups come together over burgers, cold beer and good conversation, and as a family-friendly restaurant, we also have a special play area for children.

Laundromat Café is among the places featured in the MICHELIN Guide in Reykjavík, where the place is described as special and fun in the heart of the city, and the place has also received Travelers' Choice awards on Tripadvisor.
